Tectonic turned this dated 1970s mountain house into a stunning home that reflects its natural surroundings. The client wanted to use as many recycled and natural materials as possible. We partnered with Resource Central in Boulder for upcycled windows and doors, found locally sourced wood for finishings, and used natural plaster on the walls for an earthy feel. Tectonic installed a solar thermal hydronic system that heats the bamboo floors upstairs and stone tiling on the main floor so the house is working in unison with nature.
