Boulder Bathroom Remodel
#NeboRanchHouse
The Design
This 1970s ranch-style home was transformed to meet the evolving needs of a growing family. Our focus was on modernization, mold remediation, and creating functional, shared spaces. The bathrooms were designed with a “His and Hers” approach—featuring a luxurious, mid-century modern retreat with deep purple hues and brass finishes for her, and a playful yet sophisticated bathroom with handcrafted blue tiles for him. The basement was reimagined to include a dedicated play area, a cozy TV space with custom white oak shelving, a stylish guest suite, and a multifunctional office and painting studio, balancing practicality with personality.
The Build
We embarked on a complete overhaul of the basement and both bathrooms, addressing mold issues and adding an expanded vanity to the primary. What made this project unique was that the client lived through the remodel. In the basement, we designed versatile spaces tailored to the family’s needs, including a hidden litter box nook, custom shelving, warm finishes, and durable, easy-to-maintain flooring. The result is a thoughtfully updated home that seamlessly blends style, comfort, and functionality.
Our dedicated Tectonic carpentry team went the extra mile, meticulously prepping and protecting the living spaces to minimize dust and dirt. Sustainability was also a priority as we donated materials to Resource.
